Administrative Assistant (full-time): Fall River County Register of Deeds Office is accepting applications for a Full Time Administrative Assistant with possible promotion to Deputy after a 6 month satisfactorily probationary period. The starting wage: $10.00 – $12.00 DOE and includes benefit package.

This position is responsible for performing a variety of office and administrative support duties associated with the recording of legal documents. So attention to detail is required. Must have the ability to work well with others. Duties include greeting customers, providing information and guidance, reviewing and recording various legal documents, receiving and processing payments, answering phone calls providing assistance with recording requirements and filing fees. Applicant must have good organizational, computer skills & be able to lift up to 30 lbs.

Administrative Assistant (full-time): The Fall River County Director of Equalization’s Office is accepting applications for a full time Administrative Assistant.  Duties include assisting the public on the phone and in person, data entry, correspondence and mailings, filing, occasionally assisting with field work, and other duties as assigned.  Starting wages are $10-$12/hour depending on experience. Full benefits include paid health & dental insurance, vacation, holiday and sick leave; and South Dakota Retirement. Position is 40 hours a week, hours are 8-5, Monday – Friday

Qualifications:  Working knowledge of Microsoft computer applications including Word and Excel, good organizational skills, effective written and verbal communication skills, good math skills, attention to detail, ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, other agencies and the public, ability to read maps and legal descriptions, ability to work independently, positive attitude and desire to learn.  Education: High school diploma or GED certificate.  Experience: One year of experience in office clerical or customer service work or a related field.  Experience with real estate legal descriptions is a plus. Submit applications to the Fall River County DOE office, 1029 N River St. Open until Monday 9/16/19.

911 Dispatcher: Fall River County Sheriffs Office is accepting applications for a full time 911 Dispatchers. The starting wage: $12.00/hour. Shifts are day, evening and overnight, and include weekends and holidays. Benefits include paid health, vision and dental insurance; vacation, sick and personal leave and South Dakota State Retirement.

The position involves substantial public contact, receiving incoming radio and phone calls, and entering information into the computer aided dispatch system.  Individuals must be able to multi task with accurate typing (35 words per minute) and computer skills. This facility handles multiple calls from different agencies which will need dispatched out simultaneously. Applicant must be able to remain calm and maintain composure and treat people with respect even under pressure in stressful situations. Individual must possess the ability to consistently think clearly; act quickly; and calmly in a wide variety of situations.

The position requires SD State Certification for radio dispatching. The training, completed in Pierre, SD will be provided to successful applicants.  Position requires a medical physical (UA and hearing test), fingerprinting and background check.
