The clerk maintains all the court records for Fall River and Oglala Lakota (formerly called Shannon) Counties, dating back over 100 years. In order to obtain a record, you will need to provide the name, approximate dates, county and type of case. Search requests must be made in writing, with payment prior to search. There is a $20 search fee to be paid with the search request, with additional fees of .25 for copies and $2 for each certification stamp. Old records are archived off-site and therefore search time is approximately 2 weeks.
