VOTE!

Today is the Primary Election, as well as, the school board and city council elections.  Don’t forget to vote!  Polls are open 7am – 7pm.

Polling Locations:

Beaver Precinct: Oral School

Cascade Precinct: Cascade Fire Hall

Edgemont Area Precinct: St. James Parish

All the Hot Springs wards & Jackson Precinct: Mueller Center

Oelrichs Area Precinct: Oelrichs Community Center

 

Employment Opportunity – Sheriff’s Deputy

The Fall River County Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for a county deputy. Candidates must be able to think and act quickly under pressure; remain calm in stressful situations; demonstrate ethical behavior; pass a background and drug test; be physically able to perform job functions.

Starting wage is $14.50/hour (uncertified), $16.50/hour (SD state certified). Training and certification provided and required for continued employment.  Shifts may vary and may include weekend, overnight and holiday hours.  Benefits include paid health & dental insurance; vacation, holiday, and sick leave; and South Dakota Retirement. Vote Early!

Absentee voting for the 2018 Primary election has begun!  In Fall River County you may vote at the Fall River County Courthouse from now to June 4th.  Please bring a photo ID with you. The Fall River County Courthouse is open 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday (closed Memorial Day).

Absentee voters can also apply for a ballot by mail.  This form must be filled out and mailed to the Auditor’s Office:

Those wishing to register or change their voter registration information have until May 21st.
